2026-27 Strategic Priorities

WEA believes students learn best in schools where they feel safe, are actively engaged, have opportunities to move, see purpose in their learning, and want to be at school.

For the 2026–27 school year, WEA has identified six student-focused priorities that will guide our advocacy and our work with educators, families, the District, and our community.

These priorities reflect what our educators see every day in their classrooms and schools. Throughout the year, WEA will work to advance practical solutions in each of these areas that support educators and improve outcomes and opportunities for students.
