Expanding Career Pathways

Career and Technical Education gives students opportunities to develop real-world skills, explore career interests, and build connections with the industries they may enter after graduation. WEA wants to use our relationships throughout the labor community to help strengthen those opportunities.

Our work includes connecting WCSD CTE programs and Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) with unions and local employers that can provide financial support for travel, registration, competitions, and student participation.

By building ongoing partnerships between schools, labor, and industry, we can reduce the fundraising burden on individual educators and programs while creating stronger connections between students and Nevada’s future workforce.
