Hope you are having a relaxing and wonderful summer break.
The WEA Board is very excited and pleased to announce Tom Stauss as our Executive Director. Tom has worked with the Nevada State Education Association since January, 2015 where he specialized in organizing leaders and worksites in seven associations, as well as training, advocacy, performance evaluations and negotiations. Prior to his work with NSEA, Tom was employed by WCSD from 1985-2014, primarily as a Human Resource Administrator. His extensive experience includes negotiations, recruitment of staff; federal and state employment law, developing and maintaining a positive and professional relationship between school districts and associations. Tom graduated from BYU in 1987 with a BA degree in Communications/Training and Development.
He will be at our Building Rep Kickoff on July 31st.
