Over the past 7 years, I have proudly served as a building rep, and for the last three years, I have been an active member of the WEA board. As a representative, I would be a strong voice for educators, advocating for policies and initiatives that elevate our profession and support student success.

Brief Background Sketch: Teaching is my 3rd career, and I have learned that Unions fight for the best interest of all. I joined WEA shortly after being hired 9 years ago. I was the Math Instructional Lead in middle school before moving up to high school. Being the go-between from County & Administration to Staff and Student level piqued my interest in the decisions made at the State and National Level which led me to become a Building Representative. This appointment stemmed my curiosity further and I was privileged to attend the District Assembly this past year. My passion has only grown as a result. Realistically implementing initiatives from the National level down to the classroom has placed me in a unique understanding of the balance between what is best for learners and staff. Listening to and sharing the concerns is what I will strive to bring to the National Representative for our Local community. Thank you for your consideration

She has worked in the Washoe County School District for 25 years, where she started her career as a middle school English teacher and then became a middle school counselor. She has served on the Washoe Education Association Board of Directors and is the Nevada Hub Coordinator for the NEA Early Leadership Institute. Andrea is a lifelong learner and enjoys mentoring aspiring and early educators, so they can have the same sense of accomplishment she has had during her career: as an educator. Andrea looks forward to continuing to represent WEA and NSEA at the NEA Representative Assembly.
Kimberly Gray
I’m currently a school counselor at O’Brien Middle school. I have served as a building representative for the last 3 years. My passion for the WEA kicked off when I helped canvas with our school board trustee Ms. Smith. Talking with our community, I realized how much educators are valued, but that our work in not done. I was also able to attend the minority leadership/women leadership conference last year. I learned a lot about our national union and want to continue to expand my support and experiences with the WEA.
Shanna Johnson
I am a third-grade teacher and Building Representative at Hidden Valley Elementary. This is my twenty third year being an educator and union member. I was recently elected to serve on the WEA Board of Directors – At-Large Director. I am currently representing NSEA through the Delegate Assembly. I would be honored to continue where we left off last summer at Philadelphia’s Representative Assembly for the next two years. I fully understand and respect the responsibility of being a RA delegate. I am a passionate advocate for our students and fellow educators. I would love the opportunity to continue addressing the vital issues that impact public education at Representative Assembly.
Sherri Lenz
I am currently the Department Leader for Career and Technical Education at North Valleys High School where I teach Agricultural Science, Horticulture, Greenhouse Management, and Animal Science. I have been a Washoe County School District teacher and WEA member for twelve years. I would like to be selected to attend RA because I feel that I would be an excellent representative for both Asian minority teachers and CTE teachers in our bargaining unit. I also believe that moving forward, I can be an agent of change in the WEA by bringing my unique experience to affect change at the National Level. With the current political situation, the NEA needs to take a strong stand against the forces that would destroy public education. Please consider me to represent the WEA at RA 2025. Thank you.

Robert Munson
It is an honor serving as your WEA Vice President. I am asking for your confidence and vote in order to continue to be one of your representatives to the NEA Representative Assembly this July. The RA is really the driving force for our national organization, and it is important that our voice is heard and we have input in the direction we take. I ask that you allow me to be your representative again. Thank You!
Griffin Ashe Peralta, M.A.
The primary reason I would like to ask you to vote for me is that I have made the assembly a part of my teaching practice. I coach a speech and debate team that regularly participates in student congress- for this I train them in Robert’s Rules of Order, the same formal rules which govern the Representative Assembly. Telling my students that I use the skills from their events in my real life has been an important part of fostering their buy in to the program and I hope you will help me continue that legacy! Beyond this, I am a good candidate for this position because I have attended two Resident Assemblies previously, meaning it would be easy for me to forward our shared agenda as Nevadans. I am also a member of multiple committees at the county and state level, to include bylaws, budget, and elections committees.
Samuel Rosales Rivas
My name is Samuel Rosales Rivas, and I have served as an educator for eleven years working as an Education Support Professional (ESP) and as a Certified employee. As an ESP, I worked with K-6th grade students as a teacher assistant and as a clerical aide. Since then, I have worked as a school counselor for the last six years where I served Procter R. Hug High School and currently serve as the school counselor for the Dean’s Future Scholars program. My passion for working with underrepresented students stems from my own personal background. This has allowed me to provide a much-needed input to educators and WEA to not only support our students but as well as our union members. I have also taken part in the previous Delegate Assemblies and the NEA Representative Assemblies. It would be my honor to continue to serve our union members and educators.
Beth Stoker
For the past seven years, I have been honored to serve as the full-time School Counselor at Glenn Duncan Elementary School. With over 17 years of experience in WCSD and as a dedicated WESP/WEA member, I have committed my career to empowering students, supporting families, and collaborating with educators. This enables me to be a strong advocate for students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being while making a lasting, district-wide impact. Beyond my counseling duties, I also serve as a Family and Community Engagement (FACE) liaison, Lead Counselor for Area 3, and WEA Building Representative. These leadership roles have strengthened my ability to bridge the gap between schools, families, and community agencies while amplifying my advocacy at both the state and national level. As a proud Delegate for the past two-year term, I have fought to ensure our educators’ voices are heard and that policies directly impacting our students and schools reflect our shared expertise and needs. I am eager to continue this work for WEA representing Nevada’s educators with passion, dedication, and a well-rounded perspective. My commitment to student success, educator support, and policy advancement drives my desire to make a meaningful difference. It would be an honor to serve, advocate, and champion for the needs of Nevada’s schools as a Delegate at the NEA Representative Assembly in 2025.
Fred Williams
I have been a teacher in the Washoe County School District for about 22 years. I am currently a P.E. teacher at Mendive Middle School. I had the privilege to sit on the Minority Affairs Committee for WEA and at the NSEA level for many years. I have been honored to be your delegate to D.A. (Delegate Assembly) 7 times prior to this election cycle, and a WEA delegate to R.A. (Representative Assembly) 6 times prior to this election. I would be thrilled to be your R.A. delegate once again to represent our great state of Nevada.
