2024 Representative Assembly Election

Kyle Fibelstad

Hello, I am a middle school teacher who teaches Project Design with an emphasis in Computer Science at E. Otis Vaughn Middle School. I am completing my 4th year of teaching currently. I have earned a master’s degree in education and technology. I have gotten more involved with the WEA over the last year. I have become a building representative for my school. I am currently acting as a co-chair of the ad hoc grants committee. My fellow co-chair and I are developing the committee to support funding the WEA and educational staff within. Finally, I am currently on the DA team. With all these experiences, I hope to support our education industry effectively!

Jennifer Malaterre

My name is Jennifer Malaterre, I have been teaching at Dilworth for 14 years, am a wife, and mother of four boys. But I am not busy enough! It would be an honor to be an RA as I have been a proven advocate in the political scene for us educators. During the recent legislative session, I spent countless hours in Carson City between giving public comment (as well as at WCSD Board Meetings), rallying, and participating in several sit-down meetings with congress and assembly advocating for our rights as educators and promoting our Time for Twenty. I also participated in a commercial for our campaign, as well as bringing light to student behaviors as a feature article in the Wall Street Journal. I’m NOT afraid to stand up and fight for what we deserve and would continue with pride and advocacy on the National stage at our Representative Assembly. Candidate Video Link

Reena Spansail

My name is Reena M. Spansail and I would be honored to serve as one of your representatives for this year’s Representative Assembly. This is my 7th year as a teacher in the district, and 2nd year as a Building Representative at Wooster High School. At Wooster, I serve as an Art Teacher teaching Ceramics and Mural Art, and I have taught English in the past.

I have attended DA once before as a Representative, and I believe that knowing the logistical “ropes” of how the Delegate Assembly functions and conducts business will help me apply myself as an effective Representative at RA. I believe my background in critical analysis and creative thinking makes me qualified to be your representative at the Representative Assembly. I am unafraid of challenging conversations, and I am highly motivated to find a middle ground on every issue that is important to our members to resolve.
