The Washoe Education Association is seeking and accepting applications for the position of Executive Director. This is a non-bargaining unit position. The primary responsibilities of the Executive Director include: general supervision and direction of staff and office operations; serves as chief negotiator on behalf of WEA; administration of the collective bargaining agreement; membership organizing including member recruitment/retention; financial management; leadership development and training; and internal/external communications.
Washoe Education Association currently has 2900 members and is a local option unit of the Nevada State Education Association.
